823 - The monastery at Bangor was raided

In the summer the archbishop of Reims, Ebo accompanied by the monk Hatlingar and bishop Willerek of Bremen traveled to Hedeby to preach. They also wanted to negotiate a peace treaty between Harald and the two sons of Godfred, but no result was achieved either political or clerical.
