817 - Itzehoe attacked

Earl Glum besieged Itzehoe with an army combined of Danish and Obrotrite forces, at the same time a Danish fleet sailed up the Elbe river and attacked Itzehoe from the seaside. The Frankish defenders fought bravely and Earl Glum had to abandon the siege and retreat his forces.
